He transforms and moulds them and his imagination does the rest. The work is not completally abstract, not completally real, a deep dream, imagination and fantasy who gives it a big original aspect. Themes born from reality, others , constitutues the deepness and takes your attention with it to a point that presents as if it would been rasped, teared, and projecting itself upon this theme and creating shadowgames. Painting is transmitting idees and concepts, more then emotions. And starting from these principles, Jover uses reality as a main soport, as a basis to join rythms, light and colour, that is the way he presents his geometric landscapes, his interpretation from nature, which With visions marked by realism in which he unites the concepts of hole and space, positive and negative, reality and the imagination. - H. Artmagazine “Gal-Art” nr. 206 May 2001. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The landscapes of the painter Jover are a prolongation of nature in perfect conformity with his emotions and feelings. He moulds reality and adequate it thanks to his imagination. And, if we add a big and good technical quality, we find all the excitements or ingredients that a real work of art should have. Its production can be split up into two big groups : first of all, figurative work, specialised mainly in natural landscapes, and second, abstract works without lack of originality. In his landscapes he chooses concrete moments to study the lightening effect, as impressionists did before. Concerned his abstract production, you can distinguish, sometimes, pure geometric works where forms and colours dominate without any relationship with identified shapes, but who expresses very well his personal emotions and suggestions. In other occasions, Jover plays with the decomposition of different elements perfectly reconisable in the mermaid reefs. In this work he realises a geometric decomposition from the rocks thrue irregular geometric figures. He joins the rigour of the simple forms in a perfect order and deep feeling and goes far beyond the intellectual geometrism. For this artist the world of emotions is always present, see the main importance through the colours used, factor that not only expresses the condition of the artists mind, but also provocates sensations to the spectator, establishing a sublime comunication. In his works there is a perfect link between the rational and emotional world. The decomposition of the elements or the use of geometric figures, shows his most rational aspect, lets say, he confronts the linen with his brains where the study of light dominates the shadows and the balance of the compositions. But always we find in the background a lirism which involves to its production in this way, that the spectator feels affinity to his work. Raúl Sanz. Although he confesses being selfmade, he is a born landscape painter, an artist with lots of calling, who makes his work with high technic and who reflects it with a very personal final touch. Art Magazine “Gal-Art” nr. 195 from June 2000. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jover Sánchez (Nijar, Almería 1960), takes the confrontation by brains and by meditation; he takes the essence and contemplates it by picture from a geometric structure, creating forms which follow the orthography but leave on his way hopes to show superficial plans, who serve to study the effects of light in a constant play of dark and light. Jover does not let him drag by the creator impulse; he dominates the painture from the first moment on and knows very well what he wants to reach. And what he is searching is confront reality as a basis to study the light, to which he adds a cromatism, worked in gradations, obtaining by that some results full of sensibility and which is the reflection of a well known technic.
